Since I didn't fly the task, I'm wondering if this task proved (or not) that the max start alt was now useless with the new Condor weather model (since you can't easily climb above clouds no more).

Any comments on that ?

Well, I guess he had little influence on the scores, but technically, it's strange that he could manage to start that early...

I know how it works , besids I don't really agree with your tactic with Condor's PDA (but anyway, that's not at all the point here) I prefer SeeYou Mobile when flying. Anyway, the thing is that those software can help you a lot to optimize your flight, so I was wondering if any advantage could...

By the way, how's it going with the AATs ? I didn't have the opportunity to fly any of them, so did you notice a big advantage for those flying with mSeeYou or Winpilot (and other nav software) ?

I've just seen the first half (maybe) of the first leg since the power cut, but imho, there's no complaints to have with the task. Even in the moutainous area, I ALWAYS had a reachable landable area. I suspect it was possible to do so on the rest of the task. Maybe that's because I took margins and ...

Guys, I was kiddin' about the pilot's weight, since it would just be another ballast... :D

But the fact is that gliders shouldn't be allowed above MTOW, imho.

P4C 2.6GHz, 1GB DDR, X800Pro 256MB.
Maximum details, 1280x960 Full Screen Emu, FSAA 2x, AF 4x.

40 to 90, usually around 60.

I tried Silent Wings too, and even with medium details the FPS was quite low.

In my opinion, flutter starting right after Vne, though unrealistic, is the only way to prevent people from crossing the red line... ...except for Tim's solution which seems to me to be the best, as overspeed is used mainly at starts, in Condor. To respond to Gregor, I totally agree with your point,...

Weights and P11

Will patch 11 allow us to manage our pilot's weight ? :D Will it correct the small issues as far as MTOW is concerned ? For example, in current Condor version, a fully laden Nimbus 4 will have wing loading of 47 kg/m², higher than the max allowed wing loading (44.8), and which means the bird is abo...

That's 10 bucks we won't spend on booze. They're working on improving our health, in fact. One more good reason to buy that plane pack.

Looking forward to it. :D

Ok Daddy I will try it  You are right, if I had arisen I will never be so stupid, to spend so much time and money in such a children competition. Please don't make me say what I didn't say. What I say is that SBC is great, so don't screw up with stupid mistakes. Only for your information, the...

Maybe some are bored to see people following them. 1. It's part of the game (IRL too), if you can't stand this kind of pressure (i.e. to be followed), you don't have your place in competition ; 2. It's boring when team flying because u cannot identify your teammate ; 3. You see glider from far away ...
