Re: Easy way to making a photo-realistic Condor scenery

Many thanks for this excellent guide. I am fortunate in having 'Global Mapper' which means once the geotif is obtained it can be loaded straight into Global mapper and converted to UTM. There is then a facility to cut the image from a top left corner reference into 46080 metre squares. 46080 metre s...

Re: GUI based Photorealistic Condor Scenery Tutorial - draft

Wow! fast reply. Thanks Tom, I will try that.

That worked Ok and I now have calibration points data.

One more question;

How do I save the SS so that I can access it with the scenery data again?

Re: GUI based Photorealistic Condor Scenery Tutorial - draft

Whenever I try to download the spreadsheet I get an error which I try to start the spreadsheet I get this: Removed Records: Formula from /xl/worksheets/sheet2.xml part The result is that the 'calibration points' part of the spreadsheet does not work which prevents me from developing a scenery using ...

Uploaded to CC. Only 1739 penalty points. :D

Arrived in sunny Venice mid morning. Thought I would relax with an ice cream and a ride in a gondola, but they were all gone. Something about being very busy as it is an holiday.

A snap of the last Gondola.

Re: Return of Beastly Soaring

I have created a team in the "Gliders in Patrol" competition. Any beastly or UK soarers that want to join to make up a team. The team password is the usual beastly one. I have removed the password from the UK team for Glider in Patrol. Hopefully this may encourage some more UK based flyer...

Re: (Any) flightplan to XCSoar format converter

I recently wanted to create a flight plan on XCsoar from a Condor task. Unfortunately the list of maps within the current download version of Condor2nav has not been updated since 2012. Additionally the facility with Condor Club which claims to convert Condor tasks to XCsoar format does not work (we...

Re: Return of Beastly Soaring

I managed to create the task hopefully the same as yours. I have uploaded it to CC as Beastly-Mar17-03. My problems with the California scenery are due to the task map which is colour and 380+mb causes condor to crash. Therefore I have renamed the alternative Black and White map as the task and PDA ...

Re: Condornav, a navigation support software

I briefly looked at com0com info and it is possible for the condor port to feed more than one application port by using hub4com.

Re: Condornav, a navigation support software

I tried and it was not possible with my Com0com setup on Com 2 and Com 4. Either application would work Ok but not together. In the French Condor Nav manual it details the use of VSPE which has two pairs of com ports: Com 2 and Com 4 and the second as a splitter for Com 4 to Com 5 Condornav then run...
