Too late. You can be a gamma tester though... when it's ready.

It's been a loooong time since I viewed this forum and this thread. Really great to hear V2 is in beta.

It's really amazing that condor still holds it's own today. Yes it's a simple simulator compared to many today, but it's that simplicity which makes it so great.. because CPU cycles are spent on physics and performance. Recently I discovered Digital Combat Simulator which reminds me a lot of Condor, but for fighter jets.

So at the moment, my favorite sims are Condor (of course) and DCS.

FSX is nice for training for IFR, etc.

But, as a glider pilot, condor will always be my favorite.

The only thing I ever REALLY wanted from a new version of condor is support for larger screens, so that I could use something like a Triple Head 2 Go with three wide aspect monitors.

No need for anything else!

Why doesnt buy the devs the world scenery and the airport data from X-Plane 11? The Scenery is highly detailed, the whole world, many Glider Airports and its very easy to add satalite imgiges in the scenery. Its very easy for the user to create, build and improve airports via the World Editor.
In the Dropbox there are some pictures of the X-Plane Scenery. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cxdzj4r99959w6i/AABbVE47tnSiQU-XKBiaYBU8a?dl=0

Because Condor engine is not the same as X-plane, so it is not technically possible.

Thats true, but the X-Plane Scenery is based on Open Streetmaps Data. That means a Scenery generator use the open Street Map and put on every street a street, on every railway a railway, on every building a building, on every taxiway a taxiwway, on every runway a runwway,... A Scenery generator like this can the Condor devs also use.

Hi MiGames,

It was already done since 2011!.

Fly with Condor over Provence 2 (2011) (4096 pixels).
WildAlp1, (2015) an experimental scenery (8192 pixels) but use "high" or "medium" visible distance in the set up to avoid blue screen after one hour of flight.
K2, (2017) in 8192 for airports areas and other are in 4092 pixels.
and in another way with Sagarmatha2 (2017) all in 4092 pixels.

see the topic : http://forum.condorsoaring.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=10048

But, I must say, that in exotic country, the data of OpenStreetMap are not very reliable.

Good flight

Hi guys,

For those that didn't saw it yet or who doesn't have a Facebook account :

Here's a new CondorV2 screenshot that has been published on the Facebook community :
Condor: The Competition Soaring Simulator // CondorSim

Image

What we lean from this screenshot : The 3D model from the pilot made money in the last 12 years and now he got something that (in black & white) looks like a nice Rolex watch.
Come on guys, give us more than a 922x433 B&W screenshot with stripped down exterior view

See you guys in Condor V2... SOON :D

Thanks for posting that. I'm not (and have no intention of being) on facebook, so hadn't seen that.

Looking forward to the real unveiling of the new version!...

(I still think OXO is teasing us! :D :D )
