Hi Everyone,

I'm considering whether to purchase an LG D2343P-BN passive 3D monitor (http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-D2 ... B008MM5G84) which can be used with an AMD graphic card supporting their own 3D tehnology called HD3D (like my Radeon HD6870). Additionally a third party 3D conversion software has to be purchased from http://www.tridef.com/products/pc

The main purpose for this setup would be to run Condor in 3D and occasionally some other flight simulators like DCS World and FSX.

However, I seriously doubt the possibility of running Condor in 3D with such a setup due to the fact that the Tridef conversion software supports only DirectX9-11 games and as far as I have been able to find out Condor is a DirectX 7 application :( . Additionally it is not listed in the supported games section on either the Tridef or AMD sites.

I would really appreciate any reports from successful experiences of running Condor in 3D from ATI\AMD owners before deciding whether to invest in a 3D monitor.

Best Regards,
Ilija

No answer yet, I would assume that not a lot of people have tried out Condor in 3D or the effort is not worth it.

It seems we might have to wait a bit more for 3D technologies to mature.

The only 3D configuration I know that works is described here:

Thanks a lot for the suggestions, I think i will go for a bigger resolution IPS monitor instead if I decide to upgrade.

Condor can handle resolutions only up to 2048 in X or Y direction.
