Really looking forward to it! I love flying in the Alps, and PhilippeFP often makes interesting tasks :) Plus SBC 2010 was the best organized competition I've been part of so far.

Thanks guys!

But I hope you guys won't use the Central Alps scenery, I very often get Condor crashes when I fly there, and I know many others do too. And will you be using Alpi 3? In that case I would have to buy it or skip those tasks...

The list of sceneries used for this new competition (Alpine CUP 2011) will be published as soon as possible !

AC2011 will not be flown only over Alps mountains but over any European Mountains which means that Tatras Mountains may be used for instance ...

And you can be sure of 2 things :
- Only well known, fully tested and stable sceneries will be used by the tasksetter team;
- Only free sceneries will be used by the tasksetter team.

Hello,
If you have problems with Central Alps scenery, you have to minimize your grafic settings. You can also use Thierry's textures reducer.
I did it, and i never had crash Condor with this scenery. And the difference with original textures is not so important.

Awesome! looking forward to some fast ridge flying in the Alps!
As a flatland pilot, tasks in mountainous area's is something I still have to learn and improve in.

See you in the Alps, on every tuesday! :)

Ha! :D

For me, it's a good thing SB2011 did not go through.
I was all fired up for that competition, but during the first offline test flight after a long RL summer, my "flying machine" crashed horribly, totally and irrepairably.

I lost everything that was on there, including Condor and its well proven settings, all sceneries, maps, TeamSpeak and all my friends, etc. etc.
Finding them again, now TeamSpeak version 3 seems to be operational, will be the next challenge.
Sure, I do have Backups but reconstructing the whole lot from > 20 encrypted hard disks caused some major headaches. :x

I think I have it all running again and look forward to this new Alpine competition.
I may not be able to fly all races, but still it will be fun.
Thanks to the French team, for organizing it. :!:

BTW, will there be any Alpine training flights?
