If you think you have the solution of the server problems, how about having a non-scoring day ("training day")? That way we get to fly and we get to test if things are working, without it impacting the competition results.

We are doing a test run, starting in 5 minutes @ 19:00 UTC. If one wants to join us, everybody is welcome, no PW required.

Have a pleasant glide,

Frank (FL)

Was an awesome race! I loved it!
The Finalglide was crap but I've made it and like all others did it in a straight in! :D

Racing club class is different than other gliders. It's a fun change from the normal :) First time I've done a club class race! Seems the gliders are fairly well balanced with handicap too. Not many flew Jantar or ASW 15, but there were both LS4s, ASW 19s and a Libelle in the top positions. Guess it's still the pilot which makes the difference :)

Yeah, that's the first time I've seen everyone make straight in landings in Condor! Guess it's the slower glide speed of club class which means no one has the energy to make a circle :)

Task setters for club class please take this into consideration and make the last waypoint so that it's possible to land straight in.

I think not only for clubclass, if you make a task it would be alot easier to make the last WP @ about 5-10km so all classes can do a straight in, more tactics coming to condor then ;p

Regards

Yeah

Landing straight in also means you have maximised your FG. Final glides with 250km/h should mean you have climbed too much on last thermal... This is only different when tasksetters make the final glide through high hills (unfortunately too common on Condor tasksetters.... :? )

Peet,

E-mails were sent. But the facts changed over the day. So we decided after all worked out. Don't worry you will get your chance again

This task was run with the new option of not showing when people started, finished, crashed, landed and turned TPs. What do you think about that?

Personally I prefer to get notified about those... It feels more lonely out there when I don't get those notifications, and more like doing a task offline and not knowing anything about what's happening until the end (I do of course still occasionally see other gliders out there, so it's not completly like offline).
And of I course I have less of an idea about how everybody else is doing, but I guess that is the idea.
