Cheers!

Well we are not going to be racing, but learning, and there is a lot to learn.

Basic thermalling = flatlands, no sunny side, ridge thermal influence etc.

Ridge flying = pure ridge, no adiobatic / thermal influence.

Then mix the above 2 up a bit with adiobatic lift and ridge thermals.

Chuck in a bit of known "bugged" ridge influence.

Add a bit of wave.

Plus a bit of flutter speed at high altitude.

Then scenery knowledge, route planning.

Shake, don't stir.

And pick your sceneries from that

Seriously the list looks good so far.

Thanks Strider! :D
Lookig forward to friday!
Most likely, I'll be there. I'm no instructor, but I think I'm able to teach away a trick or two.
Do we know how many new pilots might be interested? I'll try to include the ones I know from my own club.

No idea yet, Thing is about new pilots, they would never admit that they need help, Beauty of this is they dont even have to say anything because nobody will be racing so they can just hang with the bunch and learn until they need to know more, Hanging with the bunch they can see where everyone is flying and they just follow and naturally learn. Surprising just how much you can learn just by following a few pilots who know what they are doing.
Any new pilot or old for that fact who wants to learn more can always pm me and i will make sure you are looked after.
Of course this might just end up as a boozy night out for the lads for a few weeks. At least everyone can relax and have a bit of fun.

Cheers. :D :D

Still after many years of Condor and a coupple of years gliding in real life I still tend to follow/watch/learn from those who are better.
It's a very effective way of learning indeed! Add a debriefing in seeyou afterwards, and you're on your way to getting better fast.

Debriefing, Never do that myself, Don't like looking at how badly i did on a task but i suppose i should. Info on seeyou for the masses could be a good idea here as well for the ones who don't have it or are not sure how to use it correctly. All part of the learning curve. :D
Is there anyone who can post links, information or screenies here :?:

About seeyou itself, or a make a debriefing after flight?
I can probably do both. Though I only have a demo version.
I have written a few words about seeyou previously, but I can't find that topic at the moment.
