Hi, I wanted a very realistic flap ring for my ASI, so I used some photos and some help from Big Al's ASI, and created my own.

If somebody wants this, I will make it available.

But I have a question also.
Where does everyone get there official information about which flap to use on what speed????

I have seen the flight manual for Ventus2CX on speedbattle page, and some other, but failed to find most flight manuals from a search on google, and visiting manufacture website.

If any one knows a link to a flight manual for any of the ships used in condor, please let me know. I am planning to make flap rings for all the ships in condor.

This is because I always forget what flaps to use

So far, I have found LS-6, LS-10, Ventus2cx.
I am still looking for Ventus2bx, ASW22, ASW27, ASG29, Nimbus4.

If you own one of these ships or know a link to flight manual please let me know.

Hi Eugene,

Have a look at the Condor Tasks Database: http://condor.ephemeride.com/ in the "Goodies" section.

There are several rings for all flapped ships there, ready to be used.
Make sure to read about the "Goodies installer" first, then the whole process is automatic, including saving the original instrument.

Enjoy. :D

Thanks ZA!

I noticed there was already a flap ring in the CTDB but I was also wondering where the developers found those numbers???

Also the ones in CTDB doesn't have the "bumps" around the ring like the mcready ring. I have also changed the colors of the yellow and green arc. These colors where adopted from a picture of a Discus in our club.

OK, so it looks like there is no flight manuals out there, so I will use the same numbers used by the other developers.

I have made a second version of the flap ring.

Hi PIT!

here they are!
I've only made one for the Ventus2bx, but I'm planning on making them for others also.

Hey Eugene.... :)

At the "CTDB" you'll find all the flapspeedrings for all the flapped gliders, as already mentioned.

There are the 18m-class ASI's with the correct speeds indicated on their Grosskinsky Rings at full ballast.

I' ve had the informations about the speeds from original manuals. So I spent a bit more time to place the white markers at the right positions.

Unfortunately I've lost most of the data after a PC crash. :? But maybe you can use the Rings for the 18m-Class as a reference.
There are two versions (orange and white ones) - use the white ones named "Großkinsky Style Flap-ASI"

PIT, I don't really know since the numbers and arrows where adopted from the one in CTDB by Big_Al. But I would imagine he would make one for full load.

Eugene!
Compare your ring to "Großkinsky Style Flap-ASI" for Ventus2cx by RobberDuck (aka Bades)...
