The three flights are thought to give a chanche even to the most unlucky pilot... The problem in this kind of events is that if you say OK to one you must say OK to everybody and managing everything becomes a mess (and somebody could use this excuses to make a lot more tries). This is what rules are for I think.

Sorry about that, I hope you can understand...

By the way, Jeron, I just see 2 tries for task 2! You can fly it again!

DAY 10 - 25th Sept. 2009 @ 11:00 AM

Everything is changed again in the first three places! Karsten Leucker from Germany is now in the lead with 4299 points after an astonishing performance in T5 (152 KM/h average is really good for this challenging task). "Ace pilot" Achim Holzmann from Germany slips back to second place with 4249 points and Jeroen Jennen from Belgium, another new entry on the "virtual podium" is third with 4143 points. Only 13 pilots completed the five tasks up to now, so the game is still open as the end of the race approaches quickly...

Today is the last day to join the competition! And six racing days are still missing to the end of the race (enough to fly all the five tasks and win a beautiful jacket, sweatshirt or T-shirt)... GET IN BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!

UPDATED OVERALLS

DAY 11 - 26th Sept. 2009 @ 11:30 AM

The last days of races are coming and the first rows of our overalls are almost as yesterday: Karsten Leucker from Germany is in the lead with 4302 points, "Ace pilot" Achim Holzmann from Germany is still in second place with 4245 points and Simon Berx from Belgium jumps up again in third position with 4183 points. Jeroen Jennen (Belgium) is fourth with 4147 points, followed by Jarmo Karjalainen (Finland) with 4098 points, Jon Holland (UK) with 4037 points and Guillaume Trichard (France) with 4012. All the other pilots are under 4000 points.

The entries to the competition are now closed, who is in is in, who is out is out. The last five days of races (including today) will decide the winner! Good Luck!

DAY 12 & 13 - 28th Sept. 2009 @ 11:00 AM

Despite the many flights of the weekend, no changes in the first three positions: Karsten Leucker from Germany is still in the lead with 4256 points, "Ace pilot" Achim Holzmann from Germany is still in second place with 4207 points and Simon Berx from Belgium in third position with 4140 points. Michelle Bernard from France climbed in the "4000 points" olympus and is now in 7th position. Good weekend flying also for Fransois Seijffert from The Netherlands, now in 10th position with 3754 points and just 1 flight for every task apart from T5 where he used two tries. A mention also for Sean Churchill from UK, who set an amazing 206.9 best speed in T1 (first and only try up to now) and still have to fly T2 and T4 to climb the overalls. From my point of view, the games are still open!

Stay tuned for the last three days of races!

well guys, there is something I want to say:

Congrats to the task winners from the single tasks and offcourse congrats to guy who will win this overall competition. I'm absolute speechless when I look at the speed some guys have been flying. I tried task 04 three times. The last time I had two times +8,0 thermal and the last leg I flew on the ridge with 200 km/h. My average was 195 km/h and when I got home I really had the idea that I flew an amazing speed! But no....... Nr 1. had 217 km/h and that's super fast   :o . It's really amazing when some one flies that fast. Also task 05 ...... what a pain in the ass  Being at TP2 with an average of 148 km/h .... 30 minutes later ....low ....weak thermals average 125 km/h. It hapened to me everytime again
I will be humble again and will set myself back to amature level  . Even if I practice everyday, there are still pilots who fly MUCH faster.

I hope the IGC's from the best three pilots will be published so I can see what I did wrong.

Thx Giuliano Golfieri for making this nice competition and thx Blueangel56 for creating this beautifull scenery!!
Greets SOI
