So, -200 points for mid-air recovery and every race counts... hummmmm... this is getting too serious! :)

Everybody is free to take part in a competition. If you don't like what ya see in the rules for that competiton and you can't afford any compromise...stay away.
If the host of a competition do not have enough competitors because of his "ideas".... it might be possible to think about to break out in another direction.

Condor is NOT....repeat....NOT a GAME ... it's damn fu****ng serious

Einfach nur meine 2 Groschen....

This "who doesnt like it, stay way" is a very short minded point of view, sorry.

When people discuss rules around the forum, its usually the "common sense" showing and explaining why such rule does not fit the reality of Condor Multiplayer.
On the other side, the pure and simple "exercise of power" from organizers wont let them see and understand the problems. Its much easier to say "who doesnt like it, stay away".

And "hard rules" as excuses to improve the Condor realism... always makes me laugh. In fact, most decreases the realism.

Must be just lack of experience... :)

"a reminder"
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10428
for benchmark

Janos also hard managed competition, but is a some difference and weather was very very real

I would to say that the atmosphere is as important as the weather and the rules of competition, for someone finally summed it up "great competition". The most beautiful scenery, great job the organizers but something to fix before the start i think

It is a pity that I learned too late that yesterday was trainingday :(
Today I am going to check every half hour

For more realizm
It is possible to put on each server tracking (ghost) of top 5...10 pilots from real competition? - it would be nice to overtake world champion  and good test for weather settings

Regards
Andrzej

I thought about it. But it can be missleading because ghost will act according to real weather not according to condor weather. Another sad think is that due to FAI regulation IGC files of competitors can be publicied only after and of whole competition. :-(

I have acces to them but I cannot used them. Whole world is whatching :-) Somebody will spot this for sure and that could be monstrous problem.

Look mate, that what Mowa said is true
Don't waste your time chaps - if you can't fly just one single day, you're without any chances
. A lot of us are working during the week day (e.g. i do 14-22) and then, no chance for good result, if fly just sat & sun. I know that extrime e.g. but a lot of ppl just can't be every single day online. So I'm a bit disappointed whit this fact...

what about that -200 for mid air collision??? IMHO - bollocks...
I don't want to insult nobody, i just want to put in, my 2 cents. I did some copmetitions myself (maybe not so huge) and if we have a lot of glider in one thermal + hi pings = crash , that how online game works. It never will be comparable to real life mate...

I noticed, that on GP Chile tracking was on-line, so we don't need igc. And weather settings can modyfiy by server looking after ave speed from real competition. I am not good IT specialist but i think it is possible to made in future

Actualy I am working also on tracking of real pilots. We will be streaming it in HD on real site. I will post you link here when it will be ready. You will have 3 options how to watch it.
1. Moderated tracking via Condor from streaming
2. 2D google maps
3. 3D google Earth

I will prefere Condor because we use actual scenery Slovak rep 1.0 in HD. It will be moderated in english. Delay on tracking will be 20 minutes due to FAI regulation.

First virtual WGC server will start after landing of all tracked pilots. Appart from that there will be also time zone servers as annouced. I will inform you about this during day via email.

I finished training task 2 off-line:
http://www.condor-club.eu/analysis/0/?rank=149183
I tried to upload ftr and igc file on competition webpage, but it doesn't work.
My connection to the network was stable, so I don't understand why I was disconnect from the server

Anderj is simple why Ftr upload of ftr file didnt work. I have requested only Ftr file from world class. Ftr files from standard has been desabled to avoid mesing up uploading :-) but As i realised now in this case it was not good idea :-D
