Chaps,

I promised tomorrow ...... but I am still up to my neck in it at work. I would like to defer for a week to 22nd November.

A heads-up on the scenery - am thinking of the Seattle - Portland region - let me know what you think.

Thanks Ian,

Andy and I gave the 'Touch the Sky' comp a go (it runs Tuesdays for the next few weeks)

If it lives up to (and seemed to last night) it's marketing :

Are you a bit tired with a very dynamic and aggressive ridge tasks? Do you need a varieties?
That's Great !!!
This contest is just for you.!

It may be the solution to my constant whinge about VNE, flutter, butt-clench, brown streak....condor tasks

With a little luck, they may give us good ol' UK 0.1kn thermals and gentle drizzle, to make us feel at home :D

We could have a vote. But Condor competitions are just taking off (pun) for the winter now.

If Ian restarted the beast I would have to choose which one to fly on a Tuesday evening. I agree with rob comments about the TTS tasks being different. They are also a rally type with each new task starting from where the last landed.
To be honest I would rather have a group of brits having laugh on TS while we bumble around the world.
In addition now the dust has settled on the CWC and SBC difference we have a Thursday and Sunday CWC competition which we can also use the Beast TS channel on.

PS Big CG to Rob for winning the Cape of Storm Cup, must be the sunshine. :D

I will have a look at Touch the Sky ..... much as Beastly Soaring has been a lot of fun, setting tasks takes time, which of late has been a valuable commodity in short supply.

Ian,

I guess my Touch the Sky comments were a subconscious desire to reduce your load and the guilt you may feel at not being able to host.

In essence (as Andy said) Beastly is all about the mindless, irreverent, inane TS banter/pi$$taking and no matter what/where we bimble/struggle
around, it is this that makes Beastly Tuesday evenings a 'virtual soaring pub'. Whatever decision we come to, I will be on TS

The uproarious laughter we had during the previous GonP's is an example of the fact that we are not that delusional into believing that we will
trample the opposition, nor have any desire to....

Just here for the laugh/beer

Andy, your comment 'group of brits'. Does this mean as the token Johnny-Foreigner, I should expect my Brexit deportation order :o

task 20 12 16

Postby BeastFromTheEast » Wed Dec 21, 2016 12:01 am

Not a terribly successful outing as I was the only person to get past TP3 :D but the other managed to worm their way from the mountains and eventually fly to the finish, where they were greeted by a cow (!).

Kentclub and RAM were busy making friends with the cow when I managed to banzai one of the parked gliders during a beastly low pass (as illustrated above). Cue telling-off from virtual CFI.

Task here, chaps, if anyone fancies a(nother) go at it : http://www.condor-club.eu/showtask/0/?id=10106
