Anyone up for Beastliness tomorrow night? Might be California again and might be another thermal task.

Terry F ASW-28 01:31:13 150.40 km/h
Spirals LS8-b 01:32:01 149.10 km/h
RobBob Discus 2B01:33:31 146.70 km/h

Unfortunately my computer locked up while I was at the co-op, so I managed to lose my time but it was circa 141km/h (made a fairly major mistake near the Livermore labs).

As discussed guys, we will continue our exploration of the California scenery next week .... until we get bored, or to the Canadian border.

Task Map, people.

Journey of a Million Miles - leg 2 California 258k.jpg

Basically carries on where we left off last week ... similar conditions. A little longer than normal as I wanted to get close to the mountain range beyond Hayfork.

See you 1900h

Only 3 finished and only one kept his glider in one piece.

Lots of laughs and a challenging task over scenery other than the Alps.

See you all next week.

I have referred to the Beastly Rulebook and co-pilots appear to be allowed, even dogs.

task 31 01 17

Postby BeastFromTheEast » Wed Feb 01, 2017 12:57 am

Seemed to be a trouble-prone task firstly with myself and Andy playing bumper gliders before we had even started :o, the Beast-PC bluescreening about 10k into the journey, and finally Robin confronting a sea of blackness at TP2. Still, we carried on undaunted.

EDIT: Tried again, and the lift seemed much more co-operative this time. Link to task here : http://www.condor-club.eu/showtask/0/?id=10213

I also had the video recording switched on so might see how that has come out. The raw movie file (AVI) is 130GB
