Saturday, November 4, on condorsim.fr at 7h UTC.
The Herbaud brothers took off on April 17, 1992 at 7:00 from Vinon with ASH25 F-CGCE, and they landed at Fès-Saïs in Morocco at 20h36, after 13h30 flight!
A mega record, which used the north wind sometimes very strong (more than 140 km / h to 8000m) that swept the whole area.
We had planned to repeat this flight on Condor for the 25th anniversary of the record, Gerard Herbaud kindly gave to Michel Dgtfer (DGT) all the details of this flight, and Michel Dgtfer have made a special stage to cover the entire trip.
During these tests, Memphis completed the entire journey in 11:30, with an average wind of 90 km / h. We thank Thierry BOD1 who agreed to modify the Condorclub criteria to record a flight with this wind speed.
The scene is available on Condorclub http://www.condor-club.eu/sceneries/0/?o=0&p=1
We had to postpone the attempt for lack of availability, but it is now possible to embark on this adventure in real time.
For this you must plan to fly for 12 to 14 hours, but with transitions of more than 150 km in places which will leave us, with the autopilot, good moments of recovery.
Do you want to take part in the Vinon-Fes flight?
Thank you for responding here.
