Flying in Western Norway is very safe and comfortable. We always know excactly were we can land if we're getting low.
These photos are from easter when there is still loads of snow in the mountains. This make the landscape look harsh and hostile for gliding.
Landing at a snow-covered grassfield is not recommended, but it usually only gives small damages to the glider. Typical, is the loss of wheel hatches.
We don't do alot of XC-soaring when the landscape is snow-covered because of the outlandingfields beeing covered by snow. Our XC-season starts off about now.
