It's actually not finishers, but number of finishers with at least 2/3 of the winner's speed. 126 pilots finished within that speed at SBC day 1, out of a total 221 participants, so that's a long way from "almost everyone".
I was thinking about that also. But in real life there aren't that many crashes, I hope... You can get a reported crash in Condor just by having a bluescreen. It's a sim, not real life.
So if you exclude the 'crashes', you get 142 finishers out of 155. That's almost everyone. Maybe the rules should use a percentage here...
I also understand from earlier posts that there is no DAeC indexing..?
I find it interesting to know how scoring goes in Condor/Condor-Club. Some more info is appreciated. And then put it in a sticky maybe..?
PS
I'm not that into scoring (yet). I'm a Condor rookie and I'm flying for fun.
But at the finish there's always that curiosity; 'how did I do compared to others...?'. 'Am I improving..?'
But that also raises the question: 'does the scoring really tells you all about your achievement?'
BTW
Thanks to all the people that make these online competitions possible.
