Czech Republic Scenery 0.5– The first part of Czech Republic Scenery, was released today and will bew available at the SpeedBattle website today evening - firstly at CCC as a premius download, from Monday for whole community at the SB. 55% of the scenery area on the left side is fully finished, the right part of the scenery still needs to be completed. The finished area of Czech Republic Scenery will have the same size as the Slovakia scenery or 2 times the size of the default Slovenia. The Czech Republic Scenery covers parts of Germany, Austria, Poland and Slovakia. This version of the scenery ends at the right side exactly at the border with SlovakiaCE scenery. Please don‘t fly to the closed area! Please read also this “readme” attached with the scenery, where you can find all the important information and also the list of airports and their limitations. Size of this scenery is about 800 MB.

Main features
-Two selectable design of cities
-Cities have real size without FPS problems
-Three PDA maps
-realistic coverage of forest, rivers, roads, railways, highways, important objects, castles, TV towers at Czech republic area
-Improved thermal map
-Artwork design, improved Slovakia style
-Bonus for scenery developers

Cities
I have created a new design areas for cities in Czech Republic Scenery. You can select one of two sets – cities with surface texture and cities without it. Cities with surface textures have more realistic design, but because it is not possible to place the texture exactly on the ground (flashing texture), these object are slightly above ground – so it is not recommended to fly too close to the city objects. The city texture also generates a crash, so never land there! Cities without surface texture are exactly on the ground, but the design is not so realistic. Please select the set that you like, defaul set is cities with surface texture. Please switch OFF „W-Buffer“ at your Condor setup – it prevents flashing textures, if possible.

Image

You can find both city sets in the folder „Czech republic\Extras“ – folders „City with texture“ and „City without texture“. If you want to change the city set, just copy the contents of one from these folders to folder

Czech republic\World\Objects
and replace old CX files.

You can repeat this step as many times as you like. This change does not cause the error „modified scenery detected“ for multiplayer mode, but this possibility was tested and is a guaranteed only for P12.

If Uros and Gregor change it in the future, this option will be impossible. But this technology has one advantage – it is a possible to quickly create for example „sparse“ and „dense“ city blocks for users with different performance of their PC without any changes to the scenery – just change the CX objects only. This way we have a possiblity of customising scenery performance with this „technology“ if it will be necessary.

PDA maps
Three PDA maps are attached. Tip: you can rename your favorit map to „czech republic.bmp“ and this map will be used as default one.

Bonus for scenery developers
Czech Republic Scenery contains an example of my textures that have beed developed for developers of free sceneries, with a short description of my technology and city set of 3d objects. City set of default 3D objects (24 pieces), as a city parts, bridges and castles is attached with scenery for developers. Feel free to use it for your own work, but you are not allowed to use my city set in payware sceneries without my permission.

You can find all these matherials in the folder „extras\developers
Geoff McVay (ASH33) is preparing a detailed manual and tutorial videos about my textures. I don‘t think, that my design is the best, but maybe there are some tips and tricks that could be used in your own design.
Also „City set“ of default 3D objects (24 pieces), as a city parts, bridges and castles is attached with scenery for developers.

Thermal map
Thermal map for the Czech republic was created as a compromise between realism and usual condor standard. i.e. thermals there are better than in the Slovakia scenery, but not fully unrealistic.

Distribution of this scenery or any part without my permission is strictly prohibited. Licence agreement is a part of Setup.

Thank You Milos!
You set again the standard.

The SBC raceday 35 on Feb. 28 will use this scenery.
If you download it at the SB page, do not forget to push the paypal button for milos please 8).

I have spent about 700 hours during the last six months developing this scenery and another 600 hours or so will be necessary for part two.

You are really crazy

Thank you, Stefke, and also for hosting. But please test firstly, if accuracy of calibration is goon enough for SBC system. There could be difference about 0.5km to 300-400km tasks..

I really feel sad to see that one of condors, if not the greatest scenery designers, is considering dropping this project.

When you look at all the downloads that the slovakian scenery has had, the massive success, and then this new cz scenery which i think is the best scenery out there some are not so happy milos mentioned dropping the project if he didnt see enough of a response from the community.

Look at the amount of detail in there everything the amount of work, the fact that he is giving HIS work in models etc for other developers to use.

How many of us will download this scenery prbably all of the condor community. How many downloaded sk3 take a look just at the sb pages. From that he got around 30 donations.

He isnt in this for the money, if he was the scenery wouldnt be freeware/donationware and he wouldnt give his models textures etc away for free !

What we all can do is show how much we appreciate his work, encourage him to go on, and why the hell not donate some money to him ?

Milos keep going ! Ignore those comments that have been coming in to you off the board etc. IF they put in 1% of the effort that you have given the community then this place would be a lot better.

anyway CGTS ! brilliant work as normal
