West-Germany-Scenery under developement

Everything related to creation of new sceneries for Condor...

Is it a great problem, to just "COPY-PASTE" existing airports in the map?

I would prefer, if new ones would be edited!

West-Germany-Scenery under developement

Postby flying altgen » Sat Sep 30, 2006 10:34 am

Hello,

we are happy to be able to announce, that a scnerey for West-Germany is under developement! :D That means: N50 as well as N51 and E6-9 will be covered!!! That is a good bit of Germany, including the Sauerland! The Idea for building that scenery of our home area came up, as we thought about the upcoming winter season. During that time, we wanted to practice in our on region.
At the moment, a friend of mine is working on the airports, I am rendering the tiles, and "NEARLY" everything works good.

maybe it comes up within the next month, maybe even earlier, depends on how fast we can solve one major problem we have....

:lol:

Regards,

Jannik

Airports

Postby flying altgen » Sat Sep 30, 2006 1:08 pm

there is one thing I forgott before:

who ever wants some certain airport to be in the package, please post it here, if possible with the required data:

-->Lat.
-->Lon.
-->Height
-->Length
-->Orientation (e.g. 250)
-->Width

And of course the name.
Please remember, that we might not be able to add every airport you wish, but we will try to!

Hi, generally I like all new sceneries, not looking exactly as slovenia :wink: but in this case I'd like to know whether you are also working on this project and if not whether it will be exactly the same area :? . IMO it wouldn't make any sense to create 2 sceneries of almost exactly the same area...

If you need help with the scenery pls contact me. I started Westgermany too, but i have troubles with the coordinates.

Well, the problem is, that, because of cropping reasons, Jülich is about the last city within the area. But, as kaleu posted, there is a scenery for East Belgium under developement as well, which will surely cover you city.

@kaleu: The thing is, we build that scenery for the perpose of training within the area, that our club usually flies in. The East Belgium Scenery does not seem to cover all of that area. Besides, where is the problem with regions beeing coverd by two sceneries??

Hi,

of course if in the Belgium scenery some important things miss, which you'd like to have there's nothing wrong about making your own scenery. About two sceneries of the same area I just think that it would be better if designers of both sceneries work together on one bigger scenery, maybe then more detailled(of course only if both designers want to).
But as I said before I always like new sceneries, especially sceneries covering german areas, so no matter whether with the belgium part or without, keep up the(hopefully great) work :wink: .

Hello tox, timmey and cc,

all airports you wished have been selected by our "HIGH PERFORMANCE SELECTING TEAM" :wink: :D
One word to Borken Hoexfeld: OF COURSE, you airport is in! I have been to the JUGEND VERGLEICHS FLIEGEN! By the way, if anyone has an idea, how to do this again in condor, tell me^^

Now one thing to geman posts, this is an international Condor Forum, so I think we should stick to english :!: :!:

I would be very happy If Gruenstadt Quirnheim would be in the new scenery!

It is based north of the Pfälzer Wald and a great point to start a X-country-flight!
